Ready your home for fall
With already some days in the forecast not expected to climb out of the 60s, now is a great time to make sure you ready your home for the coming fall and winter.
HGTV offers the following tips:
∫ Tend to your fireplace and chimney. Make sure to reach out and schedule a chimney cleaning to avoid chimney fires.
∫ Stock up on firewood. Chasing down firewood in the winter’s no fun. Now is the best time to buy what you need and stack it up outside.
∫ Check your furnace or boiler. Your furnace will need a tuneup and your ductwork could need some cleaning. Make sure to schedule a professional visit before the real cold weather comes.
∫ Plant your fall bulbs for spring flowers. Getting those bulbs in the ground now will guarantee a bright, colorful spring. Daffodils, tulips, snowdrops, and more make great bulbs for fall planting.
One of the best things about Michigan is that our home state offers all four seasons. A little prep now can guarantee you enjoy the next two.
