Have patience at the shoreline

Warmer, longer days full of more sunshine has us all chomping at the bit to get outdoors and enjoy the splendor God has given us here in Northeast Michigan.

We’re right there with you. Bring on spring. Bring on summer. Bring on walks along the Lake Huron shoreline.

But we urge everyone to have a little patience this spring.

Every spring, public works crews from our area shoreline communities get to work cleaning up the damage and changes from Lake Huron’s icy winter.

This spring, that’s sure to be an even more laborious process, with Lake Huron’s inland reach extended by nearly record-high water levels.

So, please, have patience with our local crews as they clean things up and make our beaches and shorelines ready for our enjoyment.

And, if you happen to see a crew out working, tell them thanks for what they do.
