We couldn’t help but shake our heads in frustration last week when we ran yet another picture of yet another crash at the intersection where the Meijer and Walmart parking lots let out onto M-32.

The Thursday crash, which sent one person to the hospital with possible head injuries, was the second crash in two weeks at that intersection and one of so many that happen there it seems to be routine.

Specific data wasn’t immediately available, but we can tell you anecdotally that that intersection — along with the nearby intersection at M-32 and Bagley Street — must be the most-photographed in Alpena, because our reporters are out there so frequently to cover wrecks.

We will leave to the highway engineers and law enforcement to say whether a better design there might alleviate some of the damage and injury, but we hope those with more know-how than us are studying the issue.

In the meantime, we urge our readers to take heed.

Know the risk at that intersection and act accordingly.

Go a little slower.

Give yourself a little more time.

Pay a little more attention.
