Party responsibly
We’ve said it before, but it’s always worth repeating: Don’t let your fun ruin someone else’s.
As we head into the July 4 holiday weekend, many of us will be shooting off fireworks and hosting bonfires and enjoying a brew or two to celebrate our nation’s founding.
But, as we do, it’s important that we remain conscientious of our neighbors.
Don’t shoot off noisy fireworks — or keep a noisy party going — when you know your neighbor is trying to sleep.
And don’t shoot fireworks toward your neighbor’s property, where they could cause damage or start a fire.
Don’t mix alcohol and fireworks, and, of course, don’t drink and drive.
The birth of our nation should be a joyous occasion, and a little courtesy can make sure it stays that way for everyone.
Happy Independence Day!
