The sweet sounds of the City Band once again will fill the air at Bay View Park’s bandshell every Thursday evening now until Aug. 8.

We believe the bandshell is the perfect setting to enjoy music and, certainly, our community is blessed by having it there right next to Thunder Bay. The City Band, made up of community members who enjoy sharing their love of instrumental music with others, always is a delight to hear.

Because of its location, concert-goers often also are treated to all the activity that surrounds that area. Boaters, bicyclists, and playground participants often add to the atmosphere of the evening.

Concerts this year begin at 7:30 p.m. every Thursday with the exception of the July 4 concert, which will be held at 5:30 p.m. That concert will be one focused on patriotic music, and there are other themed concerts planned, as well, for other Thursdays.

Stop by and bring a blanket, folding chairs, or just yourselves this year, and enjoy an evening of fun music in a great summer setting.
