Have a safe — and fun — Halloween
It’s “trick or treat” time in Alpena, with communities throughout our area setting times and dates this week for costumed children to go door-to-door asking for treats.
Excited youngsters running to and fro, often ignoring basic safety rules about crossing streets and highways, make Halloween a time when motorists should be more cautious than normal. Please do.
Most Halloween safety tips are common sense. We encourage you to think about and practice them — remembering that many of the children won’t.
Let’s be certain Halloween is the safe fun for all it is intended to be.
