EDITH FRANCIS BURNS

Our dear mother, Edith Francis Burns, left us on June 3, 2022. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 97. She was adored and will be missed incredibly. Edith was a DeKett / Craighead family member, born and raised in Alpena. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Susan Burns, Gary and Jeanne Burns, her daughter Carol Lux and her niece Bonnie Lamp. Edith had eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A private family memorial will be held in her honor.

DOROTHY KOLE

Dorothy Kole, age 94, of Alpena, passed away on June 4, 2022 at MediLodge of Alpena. She was born on March 29, 1928 in Alpena to parents Michael and Rose Smigelski. She attended St Mary School and Alpena High School, graduating in 1946. Following graduation, she worked as a secretary for the Huron Portland Cement Company until her marriage in 1958 to Arthur Kole. She and her husband built a house at Long Lake where they both lived for nearly 60 years. She had three children, Frank Kole of Alpena, David Kole of Presque Isle, and Mark Kole of Kalamazoo. ALEXANDER, Betty, 66, of Alpena, died on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at her home. She is survived by three children, David (Tammy) Schrader, Joseph (Kaitlyn Warren), and Tanya Kinsey, seven grandchildren, Mackenzie, JoJo, Ricky, Melodee, Jersie, Adrean, and Zander, six siblings, Pat Millard, John Dziuba, Bernie Dziuba, Jackie Dziuba, Randy Dziuba, and Charles Dziuba, and her special friend Tammi Hansel. A celebration of life for Betty (LeClair) MaClam, May 6, 1940 – January 27, 2022, will be held at the Lions Park in Hubbard Lake on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 3 p.m. RSVP to Missy at 989-255-8575. Richard Lee Rang

RANG, Richard Lee, 79, of Lachine, died Thursday, June 16, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. Surviving are his wife, Phoebe, three children, Kendra (John) Barak, Eric, Phoebe (Pat) Fountain, three grandsons, Benjamin (Victoria), Reilly, Parker; one great-granddaughter, two siblings, Thomas (Karen) and Barbara (Larry) Piotter. Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. Memorial visitation will take place Monday, July 18, 2022, at Resurrection Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 12 p.m. with the Rev. Herbert Kitzman officiating.
