Patricia Ann Bolda, age 86, of Jackson, formerly of Millersburg, Michigan, passed away Sept. 23, 2022. She was born at home on Feb. 23, 1936 to Elmer and Josephine (Nikorak) Gentz in New Boston, MI. Pat married Francis (Frank) B. Bolda on June 25, 1955 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in New Boston, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 2011. She graduated from Huron High School in New Boston, was a Certified Dental Assistant for 45 years and retired from DePuy Industries, Jackson, Michigan. John Matthew Sobeck age 76, a quiet, courageous warrior, left this world following a hard-fought battle with cancer on Saturday, September 24, 2022. John was born June 17, 1946 to George and Cecelia (Kowalski) Sobeck. He attended St Ignatius Catholic School, graduated from Rogers City High School and attended Lansing Community College. John retired as an oiler after 37 years of sailing on the Great Lakes. BOBOLTZ, Laurie May, 61, of Alpena, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. Surviving are her husband, Jim; children, Taylour Boboltz, Wyatt (Chelsea); granddaughter, Nora; her mother, Frances Beuschel; two siblings, Paul Beuschel and Brenda Beuschel. Memorial visitation will take place on Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12 noon with the Rev. James Erickson officiating.
