NORMA BEATRICE GOUGEON

Norma Beatrice Gougeon, 96, of Alpena passed away Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, at Medilodge of Alpena surrounded by her family. Norma Beatrice Couture was born in Alpena County on June 19, 1926, to the late Frederick and Rose (Simmel) Couture. She graduated from County Normal and taught in the country schools: Spain (Cathro) and Lee (Ossineke). On Aug. 24, 1946, she married Junior Gougeon. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2012. Roxanne Marie Foor passed away Dec. 3, 2022, at the age of 64 surrounded by her loving family. Roxanne Marie Desermeau was born on Oct. 13, 1958, to James and Marsha (Dickinson) Desermeau. Roxanne met our father in her hometown of Lachine, Michigan where they would eventually get married in July of 1981. After attending college, she would then start working for Dow chemical as a chemist. After leaving that position, she took a position at a paper mill in Pennsylvania which would eventually lead her to Fletchers Paper Company in Alpena, Michigan where she moved permanently together ...

Kennan Tones Hauff, 23, of Alpena passed away Nov. 12, 2022, at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena. Kennan was born Feb. 15, 1999, in Alpena to Timothy and Mia (Tones) Hauff. Kennan was a very big hearted young man his whole life. He was very sensitive to other’s needs and generous with his time and talents. As a son, he always had kind words and warm hugs. As a brother, he made time for his younger sibling and found creative ways to spend time together. His many friends say he was the best friend ever. Raymond Andrew St. John

ST. JOHN, Raymond Andrew, 61, of Alpena, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022, at home. Surviving are his companion, Elvinna; four children, Mike Edward, Nicole Lambert, Raymond Jr., Dawson; eight grandchildren; three brothers, David (Patti), Carl (Sue), Hank; many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will take place in the spring. Cremation arrangements have been made by the Bannan Funeral Home.

Joan Youngblood

YOUNGBLOOD, Joan, 81, of Lincoln, died Nov. 30, 2022. She is survived by her husband, James, her children, Diane (Kevin) Donlon, Michael (Cheryl), Mark (Julie), Lynn Marie, and John (Chelsea). Arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced in a future edition of The Alpena News. McWilliams Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Rose Bushey, 82 of Ossineke Michigan, passed away peacefully in Canton, Michigan on Wednesday Nov. 23, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. Rose was born Feb. 13, 1940 in Ossineke to the late Joseph and Sophia (Langa) Swartzinski. She was employed by and retired from the Alpena public school system. Rose is survived by her two sons Leo and wife Heidi Bushey of Canton, Michigan and John and Shawna Bushey of Malvern, Arkansas, seven grandchildren Joshua, Anna, Rachel, Kendra, Nakita, Coda, and Indigo, three great-grandchildren Devon, Emma, and Logan, two brothers Joseph, and Leonard ...
