Jessica Renee Farrier, age 40, passed away unexpectedly March 17 at her home in Detroit. Her health had been failing for some time. Jessica was born May 19, 1982 to Todd and Fran Farrier of Hillman, Michigan. She loved her children, her mother, her siblings, her family and friends, her very special little niece Athena Rain, whom she adored. She loved people. She worked in nursing and with mentally handicapped people. She had a gift for it and loved her job. GROCHOWSKI, Irene, 98, of Alpena, died on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Davison Family Home. Family will receive friends for visitation at Karpus Hunter & Ross Funeral Home on Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. with a parish prayer service starting at 5:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday, April 3, 2023, at St. Anne Catholic Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. Alan Joseph Hincka

HINCKA, Alan Joseph, 62 of Hawks, died March 29, 2023 at MediLodge in Rogers City. Alan is survived by his wife, Melinda “Mindy”; three children, Lucas (Brandi) LaCross, Brittany (Sam) Hybza, and Levi (Simone); one grandson, Noah. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Michigan or to Alan’s family for a charity to be selected later. Arrangements are in care of the Beck Funeral Home. James Patrick Munn

MUNN, James Patrick, Sr., 84, of Alpena died March 29, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Michaelene, four children, Daniel, Barbara Munn-Ellison, Roderick Calles, and Rebecca Calles, three siblings, L.J., Suzie Munn-Wantland, Marilyn Munn, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Ronald Dean (R.D.) Brown, born May 26, 1936 (86) of Alpena passed away Thursday March 23, 2023 at home with his wife, Dorothy Elaine Brown. R. D and Elaine were married on April 26, 1958 (64 years) in Walled Lake, Michigan and had three children together. Harold (Will) Brown and his wife Pam (New York), Ronald Brown Jr (Florida) and Wilma Wetherhult (Michigan). R. D. was an E6 SSGT (staff sergeant) in The United States Army where he proudly served his country for 20 years, including a year in the 9th infantry Division in Vietnam.
