Robert 'Bob" William Gibbons, 76, of Alpena passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026, at his home.
Robert was born in Alpena on February 24, 1950, to the late Robert and Thelma (Piper). Robert cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his grandchildren. His love for his family was a treasured part of who he was, and the time spent with his grandchildren held a special place in his heart. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and tending to his garden. His time with family and his favorite outdoor activities brought him great joy. He spent several years sailing the Great Lakes and doing fabrication.
Surviving are his two children; Robert (Heidi Person) Gibbons, Lisa Hahn; two grandchildren, Hiliary, Hutch; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Ann Szczukowski, Colleen Miller; several nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his grandson; Gillian "Gilly" Gibbons; two brothers, John Gibbons, Richard Gibbons.
A graveside service will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery on Wednesday, October 21 at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
