Judith Ann LaCross, 84, of Alpena died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026, at Besser Senior Living.
Judy Ann Stafford was born in Alpena on July 26, 1942, to the late Benjamin and Yvonne (Fortin) Stafford. She graduated from Catholic Central Class of 1960, and on Aug. 26, 1961, she married Lawrence E. LaCross. Judy worked and retired from Alpena General Hospital for 42 years. She was a member of All Saints Parish, enjoyed cooking, knitting, cross stitching, needle point and a trip to the casino.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Larry; two daughters, Lisa (Dan) VanSpronsen, Jill (Kevin) McParlan; "Grammy Judy" to two grandchildren, Benjamin (Megan) McParlan, Aspen (fiancé Liam) Maxwell; two great grandsons, Rogan, Bodhi; sister-in-law, Doris Stafford; special friends, Linda DeWyre and MaryAnn McParlan.
Judy was preceded in death by sister, Gladys (Henry) LaVigne and a brother, Bernard Stafford.
Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery on Friday, June 18, 2027.
