Wayne R. Ewing, 71, of Alpena passed away September 21, 2026.
Wayne was born July 2, 1955 in Alpena to the late Lloyd and Irene (Wojda) Ewing. He joined the Army following high school and later worked as a Merchant Marine in Texas where he enjoyed the warm weather. Wayne had a love for muscle cars and Harleys. He also enjoyed fishing, and firing up the grill, but his greatest joy came from his family – having a close bond with both his sister Sue and his grandson Gavin.
Wayne is survived by his son, Erik (Bridget) Ewing, his brothers, George (Geri) Ewing, Matt Ewing (Joanne Wesley), his sister's, Sue Gorski, Marilyn (Richard) Hankins, Linda Ewing, his grandchildren, Ava and Gavin Ewing, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Roger Ewing, and his sister, Darlene Evans.
Wayne has been taken for cremation with no services planned at this time. McWilliams Funeral Home has assisted the family.
