Thomas A. Morris, 71, of Alpena died Sept. 19, 2026 at MyMichigan Medical Center - Alpena with his family at his side.
Tom was born Sept. 7, 1955 in Detroit to the late Thomas Morris and Gladys Gill. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines out of high school where he proudly served for six years. Tom married Sandra Crevier in 1991 in Livonia. The two of them eventually made their way to the Alpena area where Tom loved the great outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting - which included his hunting trips to North Dakota with his close friend Byron Carlson, driving - always taking the scenic route, music which included Rock and Roll, and the Oldies, and always kept his hands busy by tinkering with things taking them apart and putting them back together. Tom was also an animal lover. He could often be found socializing which lent well with his work driving for Thunder Bay Transportation. His passing leaves a void the hearts of his loved ones and friends.
Tom is survived by his wife, Sandra, his son Thomas Morris (Alysia Stolman), his siblings, Donnie (Wendi) Gill, Jeff (Pam) Gill, Linda Meadow-Porter, his sister's in-law, Karen, and Linda, his brother in-law, Bryan Crevier, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Morris, his mother, Gladys (Billy) Gill, his brothers, Rick and Chris Gill, his sister, Terri Talent, his grandmother, Blanche Morris, his brother's in-law, Jim Porter, Jim Talent, and his mother and father in-law, Clifford (Jean) Crevier.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026 at New Life Christian Fellowship from 11 a.m. until the service at noon with Paul Spigelmyre officiating. Military honors will be accorded by VFW Post 2496 and the U.S. Marines. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Millersburg. McWilliams Funeral Home has been entrusted with Tom's care.
