Ronald Lee Seguin, 71, passed away peacefully at his home on August 12, 2026, with his son by his side. Born on April 11, 1955, in Alpena, Michigan, Ron was the son of the late Gerald and Bonnie Seguin. Raised in northern Michigan, he carried with him a deep appreciation for family, hard work, and the simple pleasures of life. Ron was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was known for his caring nature, his sense of humor, and his unwavering love for those closest to him. The moments spent with family and friends were among those he treasured most, and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Ron is survived by his son, Nick (Tara) Seguin; his cherished granddaughters, Ella and Maya Seguin; his sisters, Dee (Tom) Mathison, Jane (Jim) Hiske, Nancy Bonin, and Connie Zolnierik; his brother, Jack Seguin and many nieces and nephews who he loved deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Bonnie Seguin; his brother, Randy Seguin; his many cherished dogs, who brought him years of companionship and joy; and his last and final love, Liz Kalis, whose memory remained close to his heart. Ron passed away peacefully in the home he loved, with his son at his side, surrounded by the comfort of a life well lived and the love of family. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with those who went before him and will be remembered always for the kindness, loyalty, and love he shared throughout his life. Funeral Mass of a Christian burial will be held 11:00 am Saturday, September 19, at St. Ann Catholic Church with a visitation beginning at 10 am.
