Leticia Jeanne Gagnon "Tesh", 43, went to be with her Lord and Savior during the early morning of Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, following a strong and courageous battle with cancer.
Overflowing with love and grace toward others, Leticia's entire life exemplified God's command for us to "Love one another, as I have loved you" John 13:34.
Leticia was born to Michael "Mike" and Janet "Jan" (Wegmeyer) Gagnon, on Nov. 23, 1982, in Alpena. Her life on earth was characterized by her sweet spirit, her kindness, her love and by her thoughtfulness toward others. Filled with grace, she never complained, but was always grateful for anything anyone ever did for her and for the care she was given during her hospital stays. She simply, but beautifully, radiated the love of Jesus, which made it so easy for others to love her.
Leticia's joy was her 11 nieces and nephews, whom she loved with all her heart, as well as her family and friends. She also had a tender heart for animals, especially her dog, Oreo. Out of love, she would frequently drop off food and supplies to our local shelters to help feed the rescued animals. She appreciated the beauty of flowers and had quite a green thumb. She also loved cooking and she made some of the best Christmas cookies early for family to be ready for Christmas. Decorating for Christmas was not uncommon in October if there was some snow. It was always her favorite holiday.
Leticia was loved so deeply and is so missed by her parents and by her siblings, Brian (April) Gagnon of Alpena, Andrew (Ashley) Gagnon of South Carolina, Nathan (Jenna) Gagnon of Virginia; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her infant sister, Alicia Lynn Gagnon, her grandparents, Raymond "Bud" and Dolores "Dottie" Wegmeyer and Joseph and Vivian Gagnon.
Upon entering heaven, we believe that she heard those words from her Savior, "Well done good and faithful servant". Yes, well done indeed, Tesh. You are so deeply missed and will always be lovingly remembered in our hearts till we get there, too.
Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Tuesday, Sept.15, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Celebration of her life and love that she brought into this world will be at St. Paul Lutheran Church - Hubbard Lake on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Llewlellyn officiating.
