James Arnold Liske, 74, of Hubbard Lake passed away, Sunday, September 13, 2026, at his home of an apparent heart attack.
Jim was born in Alpena on January 19, 1952, to the late Arnold and Joanne (Tucker) Liske. He owned Jim Liske Builders for many years, where he and his son, Matt worked side by side. Jim enjoyed being outdoors, snowmobiling, and an avid deer hunter. He loved spending time with friends and family at the many gatherings, camp parties and events.
Surviving are his son, Matthew (Alicia) Liske; grandchildren, Kameryn and Karsen; 6 siblings, Tom Liske, Jerry (Sherri) Liske, Linda Heussner, Donna (Mike) Ryan, Sally (Dennis) Wycoff, Steve Liske; uncle, Mike (Kathy) Tucker; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Colleen Liske and brother-in-law, Bill Heussner.
Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Joseph Llewellyn officiating.
Interment: Hubbard Lake Cemetery
