Edward Raymond Bolanowski, Jr., 85, of Hubbard Lake passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Edward was born in Flint on November 18, 1940, to the late Edward and Clara (Ososki) Bolanowski. On July 25, 1964, he married Rosalin Olson. She preceded him in death on April 20, 2014. Ed served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 324 for 56 years. Ed was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed his corvettes, golfing and hunting.
Surviving are his 3 children, Christine (Ron) Stephens, Edward (Heide) Bolanowski, III, Anthony (Kim) Bolanowski; 4 grandchildren, Gabrielle (fiancé, Jack Hoensheid) Stephens, Isabella Stephens, Jessica Bolanowski, Jimmy (Klae Courter) Bolanowski; great grandson, Hudson Bolanowski; significate other, Celia Stephens and her family.
Mr. Bolanowski was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Paul Bolanowski, James Bolanowski, and Thomas Bolanowski.
Memorial visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 2 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4 p.m. with Deacon Michael Roy officiating. Military honors will follow by VFW Alpena Post 2496.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Friends Together.
