Louis Frances Zbytowski, 85, of Lachine died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026, at his home.
Louis was born in Alpena on Aug. 23, 1940, to the late Frances and Emma (Filipiak) Zbytowski. He was a volunteer fireman for 40 years, serving as Wilson Township's first fire chief and later served with the Green Township Fire Department. He enjoyed going to camp and his John Deere Tractor. On Dec. 29, 2005, he married Marie Hudzinski.
Surviving are his wife, Marie; stepdaughter, Colleen (Lynn) Breon; sister, Mary VanSipe; nieces and nephews, Aaron (Debbie) Dickinson, Shannon (Rhonda) Dickinson, Wanda (Duane) Wilson, Adam Dickinson; several great nieces and nephews.
Louis was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Jan Dickinson and Max VanSipe.
Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. A private service will take place.
