Elmer William Maskell, 92, of Alpena passed away Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026, at his home.
Elmer was born in Alpena on May 17, 1934, to the late William and Corinne (Gagnon) Maskell and married Judith Sylvester on Dec. 15, 1962. She preceded him in death on July 25, 2019. He worked and retired from Abitibi.
Surviving are his 2 children, Kevin Maskell, Connie Grigg; grandson, Coty Grigg; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Maskel was preceded in death by son-in-law, David Grigg; brothers, Leonard, Donald, Eugene and ½ sister, Colleen Milllard.
Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 2-8 p.m. and where funeral service will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Paul Frey officiating.
Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
