Bonnie Rembowski

January 22, 1941 - August 14, 2026

Bonnie Kaye Rembowski, 85, of Alpena passed away August 14, 2026 with her loving family at her side.

Bonnie was born January 22, 1941 in Monroe, MI to the late James and Florian Vivian. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Monroe in 1959. Bonnie moved to Alpena in 1962 where she helped start the family business Alpena Electric Motor Service. She worked as a corrections officer at the Alpena County Sheriff's Department for many years before retiring in 2002. She also served on the Victim Advocate Team while at the sheriff's department.

Bonnie certainly had a "green thumb" as she loved to garden. She belonged to the Alpena Garden Club and was chairperson of the Shelter Inc. Garden Walk for 8 years. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, and her Facebook friends who she enjoyed many laughs with.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Jan Wygant, her son, William Poquette, brother, James (Judie) Vivian II, her grandchildren, Daniel Wetherhult, Meagen Kasubowski, Randall McArdle, Ryan McArdle, Logan Wygant, Christopher Wygant, Chantel Poquette, Shane Poquette, great grandchildren, Victoria Wetherhult, Madison McWilliams, Maylee Lane, Brinnlee Lane, Kaylee Lane, Randall's children; Karson McArdle, Kalli McArdle, and Ryan's children; Liam McArdle, Kellan McArdle, and Dominic McArdle. She was preceded in death by her son Ryan Rembowski.

A celebration of Bonnie's life will be held at the Fletcher Depot on September 26, 2026 from 2pm - 8pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Alpena County Sheriff Animal Control, or Hospice of Michigan. McWilliams Funeral Home has assisted the family.
