Shirley Kendziorski

Shirley Ann Kendziorski, 87, of Alpena passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at MyMichigan Medical Center – Alpena surrounded by her loving family.

Shirley Ann LaCross was born in Alpena on December 23, 1938, to the late Theodore and Genevieve (Kotwicki) LaCross. On June 20, 1959, she married Thomas Kendziorski, just celebrating their 67th wedding anniversary. Shirley was a devoted member of All Saints Catholic Church and a member of the choir for over 40 years, and its Ladies Sodality. She loved her family, cooking, baking, especially bread, that she shared with many that visited, spending time with her friends, reading and watching her Detroit Tigers.

Surviving are her husband Tom; six children, Michael (Kimberly) Kendziorski, Patrick (Annette) Kendziorski, Susan (David) Martin, Philip (Lisa) Kendziorski, Douglas (Heidi) Kendziorski, Jeanine (Bradley) LaCross; sixteen grandchildren, Brent (Samantha) Kendziorski, Spence (Melissa) Kendziorski, Paige (Garrett) Mead, Amy (Erik) Olsen, Cari Greiner, Ellen (Layton) Korsen, Eric (Heather) Martin, Stephanie (Brian) Hastie, Jacob (Paige) Kendziorski, Zachary (Sydney) Kendziorski, Elizabeth (Luke) Willoughby, Emma (Paul) Radatovich, Abigail (AJ) Florenski, Luke Kendziorski, Benjamin (Margaret) LaCross, Nicholas (Cameron) LaCross; twenty eight great grandchildren; six siblings, Margaret LaCross, Robert (Sue) LaCross, Rick (Linda) LaCross, Patricia (Patrick) Skiba, Thomas (Mary Ann) LaCross, Mary (Jeff) Moody; sister-in-law, Carol LaCross; brother-in-law, James LeFave; several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by sister, Geraldine LeFave; brothers, Terry LaCross, and Br. Larry LaCross, O.F.M. Cap.

Memorial visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 2 p.m. until the time of the parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorial visitation will continue at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.
