Russell Mackie

Russell Henry Mackie was born in Detroit on June 27, 1941, to the late Bruno and Eileen (Makila) Mackie and he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Joy Kramer on May 14, 1971. She preceded him in death on May 27, 2024. Russell retired from the City of Detroit Water Department in 1996, he enjoyed golfing, reading his newspaper with a cup of coffee.

Surviving are 3 children, Ryan Mackie, Lauren Mackie, and Daniel Mackie. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Edward and Dwyane Mackie.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
