Joyce Joanne Simons

Joyce Joanne Hindes was born in Clinton, Michigan on Sept. 25, 1928, to the late Glen and Eva (Wright) Hindes and married George Simons on June 15, 1947. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 2004. Joyce was an active member of the Ossineke United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time in her flower garden.

Surviving are two children, Marc (Jan) Simons, Scott (Julie) Simons; son-in-law, Curt Bowen; nine grandchildren, Sarah (Mark Nance) Bowen, Betsy (Kevin Olsen) Bowen, Allisa Bowen, Scott (Jennifer) Simons, Michael (Roxy) Simons, Zee Simons, Zachary (Kristen) Simons, Grant (Patti Gomez) Simons, Dax Simons; 17 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Simons was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Bowen; three siblings, James Hindes, Edward Hindes, and Ellen Hindes.

Visitation will take place at the Ossineke United Methodist Church on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Reeve Segrest officiating. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
