Janet Lucas

Janet Anne Rose was born in Alpena on Aug. 15, 1949, to the late George and Elizabeth (Heaton) Rose. On Oct. 4, 1969, she married Gerald Lucas. She has been an active member of Grace Episcopal Church, and enjoyed painting, making crafts, sewing and photography. Along with her husband, Gerald, they operated Lucas Catering for 40 years.

Surviving are her husband, Gerald; three children, Jason (Audra) Lucas, Leslie Lucas, Aaron (Ashley) Lucas; four grandchildren, Madison, Makenzie, Izak, Nickolas; four siblings, Gary (Christine) Rose, James (Phyllis) Rose, Kathy (Charles) Roberts, Chrisanne (Robert Bible) Rose; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will continue at Grace Episcopal Church – Long Rapids on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with The Very Rev. Wiliam McClure officiating.

Interment: Long Rapids Cemetery
