Donald Floyd Thomas

Donald was born in Bay City on March 1, 1938, to the late Floyd and Valeria (Czuba) Thomas. On October 4, 1958, he married Deanna Grabner. Together they started in business in 1961, in 1981 moved to Alpena, owning and operating Don’s Tractor Sales and D’s Honda Sales. He attended St. Casimir Catholic Church. Don had a passion for collecting classic cars, and going to car shows where he has made numerous friends throughout many years.

Surviving are Deanna; 3 children, Dean (Kelly) Thomas, Dennis Thomas, Deborah (Scott) Bukoski; 6 grandchildren, Tyler (Alanna) Thomas, Bailee Thomas, Dustin Belanger, Tiffany Smith, Neil (Danielle) Belanger; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Michael Thomas; sister, Marlene Meyer; several nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jody Belanger; and sister Barbara Vincent.

Memorial visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 2 p.m. until the time of the prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorial visitation will continue at St. Casimir Catholic Church on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Donald Geyman officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Casimir Catholic Church.
