Dolores Ludlow

Dolores Mae Ludlow, 92, Alpena died Thursday, July 2, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.

Dolores Mae Ross was born in Alpena on Sept. 3, 1933, to the late Irvin and Helen (Fedynik) Ross. On Jan. 29, 1949, she married Edward Roy Ludlow. He preceded her in death on Oct. 31, 2006. She attended the First Presbyterian Church, enjoyed playing cards, knitting sweaters and mittens, square dancing and the Waltz. She will be remembered by many as the “bread maker”.

Surviving are six children, Kathleen (Allan) Trelfa, Randy (Ruth) Ludlow, Cheryl Waggoner, Kimmy (Joe) LaForest, Rusty (Jack Rosenbrock) Ludlow, Wendy (Mike) Coleman; daughter-in-law, Patty Ludlow; 12 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Vivian Thompson.

Mrs. Ludlow was preceded in death by a son, Ross Ludlow; son-in-law, Vern Waggoner; and brother, Donald Ross.

Visitation will take place at the First Presbyterian Church – Alpena on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at noon with Rev. William Rayment officiating. Arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
