Timothy Troupe

Timothy James Troupe died at his home in Tigard, Oregon at 63. He was born to Jack L. and Kathleen (Melville) Troupe at Wurtsmith Air Force Base, Michigan.
He traveled the world as a ‘Military Brat’ and upon graduating from Alpena High School enlisted in the United States Navy. Returning to civilian life he graduated from Heald College in Oregon. His Navy ET (Electronics Technician) training led him into computer related careers. An active member of the American Legion, Tim held offices at both District level and in Portland’s Post 5.
Known for his kind heart and larger than life presence (he was 6′ 6″) Tim’s legacy is one of compassion, camaraderie and an enduring sense of adventure. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Tim is survived by his daughter Shayleen, grandchildren David and Olivia, of Oregon; his mother Kathleen Melville-Hall and stepfather Doug Hall of Alpena, brother Sean and nephew Henry of Everett, Washington, and extended family around the country. He was predeceased by his father Jack Troupe.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the church of his Baptism in Alpena – St. Bernard’s at Ten o’clock on Saturday 27 June 2026.
