Rosalee Kakish
February 11, 1945 - June 3, 2026
Rosalee Grace Kakish, 81, of Alpena passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in Alpena only to be reunited with her many friends, family and personal Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Rosalee Grace Godt was born February 11, 1945, in Des Moines, Iowa to the late Henry Werner and Esther Alberta (Robison) Godt. She married Jacob Mousa Rahyeal Kakish on April 14, 1973, her husband preceded her in death in 1986. Also preceded in death was her beloved son Nathaniel Jacob Mousa Kakish on April 22, 1998.
Rosalee worked most of her life as a registered nurse and even taught nursing in her early career at Alpena Community College. More importantly she taught the Word of God at women’s bible studies, in and around Alpena. Rosalee was the very epitome of perseverance and inner strength; her life was a living reflection of Christ’s boundless love offering warmth and comfort to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Surviving are two sons, Anthony (Vicki) Kakish, Job Jacob Mousa Kakish as well as 4 beautiful grandsons Job, Carter, Nathaniel and Everette. She was deeply blessed with two wonderful siblings, Thelma (Tim) Kulp, and Werner Godt.
Visitation will take place on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Bannan Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. with her friend Pastor Michelle Smith officiating.
She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
