Norma Adams

Norma Jean Schiellerd was born in Wolf Creek on July 5, 1940, to the late Frank and Alma (Summerfield) Schiellerd and married John Adams on October 25, 1959, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wolf Creek. Together they owned and operated The Overhead Door Co of Alpena for 42 years. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2011. Her life was very much filled with love, respect and support.

She leaves behind four children, Steven Adams, Dawn Ager, Patrick (Angela) Adams, Stuart (Kimberly) Adams; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Nancy Schiellerd.

Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Debbie Adams, son-in-law, Bruce Ager; 6 siblings, Esther Siegert, Elmer Schiellerd, Everoid Schiellerd, Velda Liske, Ericks Schiellerd, and Diane Dowdy.

Visitation will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 12 noon with Rev. James Erickson officiating. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Immanuel Lutheran School.
