Michael Lee Eagling, 65, of Posen died Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at his home.

Michael was born in Alpena on Aug. 8, 1960, to Harold and Marion (Suszek) Eagling. Following graduation, he attended MSU. He spent a memorable chapter of his life in Alaska before returning home to settle on his Maple Ridge farm. Mike was a proud member of the Alpena Antique Tractor Club, and an alumnus of 4-H and FFA. Mike was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed reading, baking, and polka music. His love for gardening earned him a reputation for his corn and pumpkins. An artisan at heart, he had a deep appreciation for hands on craftsmanship. Above all, he leaves behind a legacy of a devoted father forever cherished by everyone who knew him for his warm spirit, and unforgettable smile.

Surviving are his three children, Michelle Eagling, Stephanie (Rachael Mayes) Eagling, Justin (Taylor Chojnacki) Eagling; three grandchildren, Waylon, Remi, Marlee; his mother, Marion Eagling; five siblings, Kay (John) Kline, Kevin Eagling, Patrick (Emily) Eagling, Karen (Dale) Aube, Susan (Timothy) Bowen; and several nieces and nephews that he loved.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Harold Eagling and sister-in-law, LaVerne Eagling.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Leslie Nye officiating, followed by a celebration of Mike’s life at Maple Ridge Township Hall.

Memorials can be made to the Alpena Antique Tractor Club, Alpena 4-H, or the Alpena Fair Society.
