Dorothy Hansen

Dorothy was born in Tripp, South Dakota on July 21, 1933, to the late Andrew and Goldie (Ehrismann) Timm. On May 22, 1954, she married Gordon Hansen. He preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 2020. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church for many years serving in many capacities. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, playing the piano and accordion.

Surviving are two sons, James (Laurie) Hansen, David “Chuck” Hansen; brother, Kenneth Timm; sister, Shirley Klemens; brother-in-law, Gary Anderson; several nieces, nephews; and the caring “family” at Maple Grove Adult Foster Care that provided excellent care for her these last years.

Mrs. Hansen was preceded in death by three siblings, Betty Anderson, Lloyd Timm and Marvin Timm.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Grace Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the joint service for Gordon and Dorothy at 11 a.m. with Rev. Thomas Orth officiating.
