Brendan McLaren

Brendan was born in Elk Grove Village, Illinois on Feb. 5, 1987, to Bernard and Rebecca (Lund) McLaren. He had a passion for sports, hunting, fishing and playing golf.

Surviving are his father, Bernard (Lorri) McLaren; stepfather, Barry Brooks; siblings, Lucas, Jonathan, and Alyssa McLaren; stepbrother, Barry (Angela) Brooks; grandfather, James Lund; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brendan was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca McLaren-Brooks; sister, Katlyn McLaren; brother, Michael McLaren; grandparents, Carole Lund, Marvin and Eleanor McLaren.

A celebration of Brendan’s life will take place at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home 24021 Royal Worlington Dr, Naperville, IL 60564 on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from noon to 4 p.m. An additional celebration of Brendan’s life will take place at a later date in Alpena. Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
