Joyce Brilinski

Joyce Louise Sterns was born in Rogers City on April 16, 1949, to the late Ralph and Ruth (Carlson) Sterns. On September 6, 1969, she married David L. Brilinski. She has owned and operated Thunder Bay Accounting in both Alpena and Rogers City since 1990. Joyce was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Oliver Park Condo Association and a past member of the Zonta Club of Alpena. Most importantly to Joyce was her time with her family and the many family trips they took.

Surviving are her husband, David; 3 children, Mark (Brenda Paulk) Brilinski, Kim (Paul) LaBrecque, Lisa (Aaron) Medina; grandchildren, Steven (Marc Weissman) LaBrecque, Jaimie (Reid) Wilson, Madison (Lucas) Wangelin, Kasidy Medina; great grandson, Maverick Willson; siblings, Fred (Cathy) Sterns, Barb (Roy) Peacock, Betty (George) Beaulieu; best friends, Mary Burns and Linda Woytaszek.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 2-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Immanuel Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. James Erickson officiating.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
