Doris Siegert

Doris A. Siegert, age 92, of Alpena, died on April 9, 2026, in Alpena. She was born on June 17, 1933 in Alpena, and lived a life marked by love, devotion, and a deep commitment to her family and faith.

Doris was the daughter of the late Arthur and Delia (Prevost) Ludwig. On Oct. 20, 1951, she married Alfred Siegert, and together they shared many years of marriage until his passing on Oct. 19, 2010. Their life together was built on love, hard work, and the joy of raising a family. Doris carried herself with grace and warmth, and those who knew her will remember her as a loving woman whose presence brought comfort and kindness to others.

She is survived by her children, Debra (Joe) Meske, Cindy Delongchamp, Patty (Larry) Kamyszek, and Dennis Siegert (Paula Adrian). Doris also leaves behind her grandchildren, Kurt, Brent, Joshua, Kristen, Jim, Steve, Terry, Chris, John, Daniel, and Becky, along with 19 great-grandchildren who brought her great happiness. Her family was the center of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She was especially proud of the generations that followed her and found joy in watching her family grow.

Doris was preceded in death by her sisters, Lillian Kingsbury, Anna Mae Metzke, and Betty Walford, as well as her brothers, Floyd and Jim Ludwig. The bonds she shared with her family remained an important part of her life throughout the years, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

A faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church – Alpena, Doris found strength and comfort in her faith. She lived her life with quiet devotion and a spirit that reflected her beliefs and the values she held dear.

Doris enjoyed traveling and was fortunate to see much of the world during her lifetime. She traveled to Hawaii, Canada, Australia, and many places throughout the United States, creating memories that she cherished. She also enjoyed bowling, dancing, playing cards and spending time with her family, both of which brought her great joy. Whether gathered around a table for a card game or sharing stories with loved ones, Doris appreciated the simple pleasures that made life meaningful.
