Arnold Donnan

Arnold Raymond Donnan was born Nov. 24, 1936, to the Late Arnold and Laurene (Murray) Donnan. On Dec. 5, 1969, Arnold married Marilyn A. Eagling, she preceded him in death on Saturday, June 2, 2018. Arnold was a member of the First United Methodist Church, NRC, Alpena Cycle Club and the Moose Lodge. He worked for Huron Portland Cement for 30 years.

Arnold is survived by his four children, Susan (Steve) Kolnowski, Tammy (Stanley) Benac, Raymond Donnan, and Jodi Taylor; six stepchildren, Julie Waters, Gerald (Brenda) Miller, Terry (Michelle) Miller, Trudie (Gary) Brandt, Dawn (Stuart) Johnson, and Larry Miller; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Ann Schultz, Mary McDonald, Sherry Spaulding; half-brother, Bill (Jackie) Herbert.

Arnold was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Donnan; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Marian and Randy Sauve; brother, Thomas J. Donnan; sister, Phillis Freel; half-brother, Stan Herbert; half-sister, Audrey Herbert-Brothers.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will continue at First United Methodist Church – Alpena on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon with Rev. Robert Richards officiating.
