Randall Thiem

Randy was born in Detroit on May 16, 1956, to Wilfred and Esther (LaFeldt) Thiem. He worked and retired in 2010 from the Operator Engineer Union Local 324, constructing roads around the state. On July 26, 1980, he married Carolyn Moggie. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church – Hubbard Lake, enjoyed all things outside, from mowing his lawn, gardening, hunting, fishing, camping and riding around on his side-by-side.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn of 45 years; three children, Randall Thiem, Jr., Kady (Justin) Schroeder, Carl Thiem; two grandsons, David, Dylan; his mother, Esther Thiem; two siblings, Dan (Denise) Thiem, Brenda (Earl) Flagg; sister-in-law, Tami Thiem; several nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Wilfred Thiem; two brothers, Darrell Thiem and Ronald Thiem.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will continue Monday, March 23, 2026, at St. Paul Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Llewellyn officiating.
