Patricia Marek

Patricia was born on Dec. 17, 1945, to the late Calvin and Rhea (Rankin) McKinnon. One of Patty’s greatest joys was having a family visit and preparing her family’s famous coleslaw for every gathering. Patty also enjoyed challenging herself with a daily crossword puzzle and filled her home with cuddly teddy bears that reflected her warm spirit. She was a proud graduate of the Flint School for the Deaf.

Patty is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Randy Marek. She is also survived by her three cherished children and their spouses: Scott (Jennifer) Senchuk, Joe (Autumn) Senchuk, and Violet (Rick) Sanchez. Patty was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren: Brandy Senchuk, Devin Senchuk, Dan Senchuk, Jesse Pad, Tasha Sanchez, Santos Sanchez, and Michael Sanchez. She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews who will deeply miss her. Plus, she will be fondly remembered for her kind heart by her small-town neighborhood network.

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Oliveen Marek; and two grandchildren, Cody Senchuk and Anthony Dewberry.

Patty’s love for her family and warm smile will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
