Gary Zander

Gary T. Zander of West Chester, PA died peacefully on Feb. 12, 2026 at the age of 82. Gary was born July 27, 1943 to Ernest and Helen Zander in Alpena at Alpena General Hospital. After graduating from Alpena High School and Eastern Michigan University, he was drafted and did a tour in Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart. After service to his country was over, Gary became an accountant and financial manager with Pep Boys Automotive in both Los Angeles and Philadelphia. He married his wife Linda and together they shared many wonderful years together. He is survived by his daughter Shannon (Joe) Dugan, and three grandchildren, Grace, Lily and Charlie, four siblings, Fred (Jan) Zander, Carolyn (Larry) Szatkowski, Peggi Zander, and Steve (Kristie) Zander. A memorial service may be announced at a later date.
