Patricia Ann Latier, a beloved matriarch and a cherished friend, was born on May 13, 1944, in Alpena, Michigan, to the late Manuel and Lillian (Kelly) Diemond. On Feb. 2, 2026, she peacefully departed from this world at Encompassing Care AFC in Ossineke, Michigan, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and warmth that touched the lives of all who knew her.

A graduate of Alpena High School, Patricia dedicated many years of service to the community through her work as a dietary aide at Alpena General Hospital, a role from which she eventually retired. Her employer and colleagues admired her for her compassionate nature and her unwavering commitment to nurturing the health and well-being of others. Throughout her career, she made many lasting friendships and shared countless laughter-filled moments with those she served alongside.

Patricia was not only defined by her professional contributions but also by the love and pleasure she found in simple joys. She had a passion for playing cards and bingo, often engaging her family in spirited games filled with laughter during joyous gatherings. Patricia cherished these moments, as they allowed her to strengthen the bonds that tethered her to her loved ones. She took great joy in spending quality time with her family, and she particularly adored her feline companions, who brightened her days with their playful antics and affectionate purrs.

Her greatest pride came from her family, and she is survived by her two loving children, David Rouleau and Tammy (Gregory) LaCross. She took immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Corey Chojnacki and Kaitlyn Chojnacki, showering them with love and support, and relishing in the delight of her two great-grandchildren, Wade and Mylah. Patricia also leaves behind a brother, Ben (Ellie) Diemond, along with countless cherished nieces and nephews who adored her. She cherished her role as the matriarch of her family, always ensuring that love and kindness were the foremost values they carried with them.

Throughout her life, Patricia was renowned for her kindness, compassion, and caring nature. She was a long-time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club Aerie 1241, where she cultivated friendships and contributed to her community with unwavering dedication. Her spirit resonated with those around her, her warmth inviting and her smile radiant.

Friends and family are invited to honor Patricia’s memory at St. Anne Catholic Church in Alpena. Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery at 12:15 p.m., allowing loved ones to pay their final respects. A.E. Ross Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements.
