Dean Bugg

Dean Lisle Bugg, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on Jan. 5, 2026, in Curran, at the age of 63. Born on Aug. 14, 1962, in Harrisville, to the late Lisle and Betty (Miller) Bugg, Dean grew up surrounded by the love and strong values of his family, which he carried with him throughout his life.

In 1983, Dean married the love of his life, Doreen Rinke, and together they built a beautiful life filled with joy, laughter, and adventure. Their union was blessed with two wonderful children, Dustin (Amy) Bugg and Danielle (Winston) Miteen, who Dean adored and supported in all their endeavors. He was a proud and doting grandfather to Kaeley, Dylan, Brylee, Hadley, Kaila, and Lia, whose lives were enriched by his wisdom and playful spirit.

Dean’s siblings, Cindy Zenker, Barb Green, and Rick, shared in the many fond memories and strong bonds that only siblings can understand. His several nieces and nephews also held a special place in his heart, each of them touched by his kindness and generosity.

A true entrepreneur, Dean owned and operated Dean Bugg Forest Products for over 25 years. His dedication to his work was evident in the quality of his products and the respect he garnered from his colleagues and associates. Dean had a real passion for the outdoors. He found solace and joy in the beauty of nature, whether he was hunting, fishing, kayaking, or riding on the side by side.

Dean’s love for the outdoors extended to his personal life, where he spent countless hours working in the woods, a place where he felt most at home. Family and friends often gathered for cookouts at his camp, where stories were shared, and memories made. These gatherings were not complete without Dean’s impromptu trips for ice cream, a simple pleasure that he loved to share with his grandchildren.

Dean’s legacy is one of love, hard work, and the importance of family. His presence was a source of stability and strength, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

Dean has been taken for cremation with no services planned at this time. McWilliams Funeral Home has assisted the family.
