Dale J. Reynolds, a cherished husband, uncle, and friend, died peacefully on Jan. 25, 2026, at the age of 89, in his hometown of Alpena, where he was also born on Nov. 18, 1936.

Dale’s journey began as the beloved son of Adam and Beatrice Reynolds, who, along with his son Wayne Paul Reynolds, brothers Allen and Ardean, sisters Lorraine (Walt) Jezierski and Donna (Larry) Jent, preceded him in death. He is Survived by his sister-in-law, Ruth Reynolds, and several special nieces and nephews.

On Nov. 24, 1962, Dale married the love of his life, Caroline Marwede, and together they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and unwavering commitment to each other. Their partnership was a beacon of devotion, inspiring all who knew them.

A man of many interests, Dale was an avid reader, always with a book in hand, ready to explore new worlds and ideas. His love for the woods was profound; he was most at peace amongst the trees and wildlife, where he could often be found hunting and embracing the serenity of nature. Dale was the epitome of a handyman, with an innate ability to fix and create, leaving a trail of his handiwork for others to admire.

His work ethic was unparalleled, and he was known for always having something to do. Dale’s intelligence shone through in every task he undertook, whether it was a complex project or a simple act of kindness. His loving nature was the cornerstone of his existence, touching the hearts of everyone he met.

Dale’s life was one of purpose and passion, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, a blueprint for living a full and meaningful life, and memories that will be cherished forever.

Family will receive friends at McWilliams Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026 from noon until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Doug Lopez officiating. Military honors will be accorded by VFW post #2496 and the U.S. Army.
