Roger Reinholz

Roger Reinholz, 67, of Alpena passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025, at home with his family at his side.

Roger was born on October 6, 1958 in Alpena to Ernest and Betty (Thiem) Reinholz, who instilled in him the values of kindness, hard work, and the importance of family. These values were evident in every aspect of his life, especially in the love and dedication he showed to his children, Jessica Reinholz, Brandy Mousseau, and Matthew Reinholz. He was a guiding light in their lives, and his legacy will continue to live on through them. An avid outdoorsman, Roger found solace and joy in the simplicity of nature. His passion for fishing was more than just a hobby; it was a way for him to connect with the world around him and to share memorable moments with friends and family. Roger also enjoyed gambling, which was another facet of his adventurous spirit. He approached it with the same enthusiasm and optimism that he carried throughout all aspects of his life. His family and friends will fondly remember the twinkle in his eye as he shared stories of his latest game or the excitement of a win. Above all, Roger’s greatest joy was his grandchildren. He cherished every moment spent with them and took great pride in their accomplishments. His grandkids will always remember their grandfather as a playful and loving presence who could turn any ordinary day into an extraordinary one. He will be dearly missed.

Roger is survived by both parents, his siblings, Deb (William) McKenney, Rob (Cindi Wylir) Reinholz, Bonnie Friedrichs (Ken Bertschinger), 4 grandchildren, Makenzie, Kahlan, Kelsie, Kenna Mousseau, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Roy.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by McWilliams Funeral Home. A private graveside ceremony at Evergreen Cemetery will take place at a later date.
