Wilbur Bleau

Wilbur George Bleau, Jr., 67, of Alpena died peacefully in his sleep Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025.

“Webb” was born July 19, 1958 in Alpena to the late Wilbur and Betty (Arlt) Bleau.

A life-long resident of the area, he enjoyed the outdoors including fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed playing his harmonica, dancing, playing cards, Yahtzee and shooting pool for the VFW Chiefs. Webb worked on the boats sailing the Great Lakes for a while before working in the sawmill at NEMROC. Webb had a big heart with a sense of humor and a steel trap for a memory. As a family man he enjoyed being the family Santa Claus for many years. He cared for his parents for 45 years before their passing.

Webb was preceded in death by his wife Sophie in December of 1995. He is survived by his siblings; Ruth Belanger, Carol Tessmer, Randy Frank, Jenny (Gerald) Tessmer, Judy (Dale) Putkamer, Ray (Tona) Bleau, and many nieces and nephews.

Webb is at McWilliams Funeral Home where visiting hours will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025 from 2 p.m. until the funeral service at 6 p.m. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
