Ronald Roy Linton
February 24, 1938 - Saturday, October 25, 2025
Our beloved father, Ronald Roy Linton, 87, went home to his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 25, 2025, surrounded by his five daughters and their families.
Ronald Roy Linton was born on February 24, 1938, in Gladwin, Michigan to the late Roy and Irene (Cuddie) Linton. On February 13, 1960, Ron married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Nye, after which, they spent 64 beautiful years together. Ron was a faithful member of Huron Shores Fellowship Church. Our dad was a driven, hard-working man who supported his family and earned a living as a brick, block, and stone mason, a trade he learned from his father. He successfully ran his own business, Ron Linton Masonry, for many years. Ron loved to spend his days at Beaver Lake with family, enjoying the view in his beautiful brick home that he built on the lake, but Ron’s favorite place to be, was in his deer blind on his 80 acres hunting trophy whitetail with his wife and daughters.
Ron was the most devoted and doting husband to his beloved late wife, Barbara Ann; a patient and loving father to their five daughters, Barbara (William) Seres, Deborah (Donald) Senia, Sarah (Todrey) Rodgers, Laura (Timothy) Fogarty, and Rebekah (Tony) Allen. He was often described by his daughters as a “tall, dark, and handsome fella”; a wise and loving grandpa to his 14 grandchildren, Jessica (Joel), Jack, Lauren (Casey), Olivia (Ryan), Taylor (Brad), Joshua, Jeremy, Justine, Jacob (Britney), Luke (Renae), Tyler (Chrissy), Logan, Johnathan (Nicole), and Dana; a proud great grandpa to his 23 great grandchildren; Emma, Amelia, Mason, Hank, Olive, Louie, Alvin, Noah, Wyatt, Grayson, Keeley, Kayden, Beau, Brynlee, Hadley, Willah, Ben, Jack, Rhilyn, Holden, Graham, Hudson, and Ryden.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; infant son, John R. Linton; two brothers, Dean and Timothy.
Those who knew Ron will remember him as a man of few words, but immense heart, extraordinary wisdom, grit, conviction, and a deep devotion to the Lord and his family. He will be dearly missed, but we find comfort in knowing that we will see him and mom again.
Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 2-7 p.m. Visitation will continue at Huron Shores Fellowship Church on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joe Collins officiating.
