DOUGLAS WILLIAM MCCALLUM

Douglas William McCallum passed away unexpectedly on October 7, 2025 (the Feast Day of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary) in Longmont, CO, where he has resided for the past 30+ years.

Doug was born on August 8, 1949, in Alpena, MI. He is survived by his sons, Matthew and his family and Ryan; his brother, Rex (wife, Wanda), and nieces & (their families): Mary, Amy, Elizabeth, Kimberly, Jennifer, Leslie, Lynn and nephew, Father Gregory McCallum; his former brother-in-law, Richard Hiser and sister-in law, JoAnne McCallum. Lastly, Doug had become a family with a group of friends (Bart/Stacy, Peter/Susan, Jim/Teena, Randy/Tyree, and John) over the last 20 years. Doug enjoyed hanging out with his “Golds Gym” friends whether it was a birthday party, holiday party, guys poker night or just going out for dinner with the group. He was always up for spending time with friends

He was known for his smile, sense of humor, stylish attire and all the way up to his unforgettable hair style has left an unforgettable imprint!

Doug enjoyed talking about any sport with the guys, and especially the weather, with anyone who would listen, which literally was anyone.

He was also known in the gym for his crazy pull ups, and seemed to know just about everyone there. Additionally, he was also known for the meticulous care of his Jeep that he loved and numerous shoe options.

He was such a kind man who quietly made gestures in helping others. The support he gave to veterans was shown by how proud he was to be one.

He interacted with several of his friends on a daily basis. He was an anchor of the group and his friends will surely miss his quips and comments. Everywhere Doug went, the place came alive!!

Doug, we love you and you will remain in our hearts forever!!
