Kelly Ann Sobeck, 46, of Holly, Michigan, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Kelly Ann Sawdon was born on February 22, 1979, in Mt. Clemens, to Warren and Paulette (Millar) Sawdon. She grew up in Sterling Heights, graduating from Anchor Bay High School in 1997, attending Michigan State University from 1997-1999. She married Christopher Sobeck on August 4, 2001, moving to Alpena and graduating from Alpena Community College in 2005 with her Registered Nurse’s degree. Together, they moved to Altoona, Iowa in 2012, Columbus, Ohio in 2015.

In 2019, returning to school, she graduated with her Bachelor of Nursing from Mt. Carmel College of Nursing and moved to Holly, Michigan. Kelly was immensely proud of being a nurse for over 20 years, gaining respect and admiration from those who worked alongside her! Kelly enjoyed shopping, craft shows, camping, and spending time with family. Most of all she enjoyed being a sports mom, never missing a baseball, basketball, football, tennis or soccer game. Always traveling, supporting and cheering her children.

Surviving are her husband, Christopher; their three children, Alyssa Kathleen (17), Benjamin William (16), Kensley Ann (9); parents, Warren and Paulette; 2 sisters, Kristy (Stephen) Bawks, Katy (Eric) Pardo; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Sobeck; sister-in-law, Traci (Matt) Miller; nieces and nephews, Hayden Bawks, Savannah Bawks, Elliott Bawks, Nolan Pardo, Hazel Pardo, Audrey Pardo, Morgan Pardo, Ethan Miller, Jacob Miller and Evan Miller.

Kelly was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Kenneth William Sobeck.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home in Alpena on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 2-8 p.m. with the Nurse’s Honor Guard Ceremony at 4 p.m. and where funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11 a.m. with Rev. James Erickson officiating.

Interment: Pilgrims Rest Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christopher for the children’s education.
