William Edwin Kornowski

William was born on March 31, 1943, in Alpena to the late Cashmere and Marion (Gezequel) Kornowski. He worked for the public school in Flat Rock until his retirement. Bill was an avid Detroit sports teams fan, especially the Tigers and Lions. Bill will be remembered for his friendly manners, kindness, smile and his knowledge of baseball facts.

Surviving are nieces and nephews, David (Juanita) Lapczynski, Mary Muszynski, James (Renee) Lapczynski, Debora Suszek, Judy Lapczynski, Michael Lapczynski, Nina TheGreat, Billy Chase; 13 great nieces and nephews; and 17 great-great nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his five siblings, Francis Kornowski, Pearl Soltysiak, Catherine Chase, John Kornowski, Cashmere Kornowski; great-great niece, Elora Haigh and his coffee buddy Kim Muszynski.

Memorial visitation will take place Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Bannan Funeral Home from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3 p.m. with Deacon Michael Roy officiating.
