Mark Lewis
Mark Aaron Lewis, 59, of Kentwood passed away along with his sister Tamyra, Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025, as the result of an automobile accident.
Mark Aaron Lewis was born in Alpena on Nov. 26, 1965, to Jerry and Ethelene (Dove) Lewis. Family was very important to Mark. Heading north for deer hunting season and being with his dad and brothers at camp was a tradition he looked forward to for many years. Christmas Eve was so much fun with Mark because he was like a kid, alongside his nieces, opening gifts after church. His chocolate lab, Buster, was his pride and joy to the end, as Buster perished in the accident with Mark and Tamyra. Mark enjoyed NASCAR with friends, loved going to the races, and playing golf. He was also a very talented artist and had recently begun painting again.
Mark and Tamyra will be so missed by all who knew them. They brought a joy and love to those around them that now leaves a void in our hearts that hurts beyond measure. So, for now, as our heart aches at their sudden loss and we wish we could see them just one more time, we live on with the memories and pray they are in the arms of Jesus worshipping Almighty God in eternal glory, but with a faint sweet voice, we still hear, “Love you, mean it”.
Surviving are his mother, Ethelene; brother, Clark (Amy) Lewis; sister-in-law, Pam Lewis; brother-in-law, James Northern; nieces and nephews, Michelle (Jason) Lipscomb, Wesley (Danielle) Lewis, Brandon Lewis, Justin Lewis, Laura Lewis, Lilly Lewis; great nieces and nephews, Logan, Paige, Bryce, McKenna, Emma; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lewis, brother, Dennis Lewis and his sister, Tamyra Northern.
A joint memorial visitation for Mark and Tamyra will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, from 2 to 8 p.m. and will continue on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, at Community of Christ Church – Lachine from 10 a.m. until the time of the joint memorial service at 11 a.m. with Elder Allison Wood officiating.
