Ronald Denmark
Ronald Edward Denmark, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, left this world on July 6, 2025, at the age of 77. Born in Alpena, Michigan, on April 26, 1948, he was a dedicated tool sharpener for the Besser Company, where he worked diligently for many years until his well-deserved retirement.
Ronald was more than just an industrious worker; he was a beacon of kindness and compassion. Always putting others before himself, he touched the lives of those around him with heartfelt generosity. His warm spirit made him well-loved in his community, and he is remembered by many who had the privilege of knowing him. A devoted Catholic and member of All Saints Parish, he actively contributed to his faith community as a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Council 529.
In addition to his steadfast work ethic, Ronald’s passions included hunting, fishing, and camping, activities he cherished and enjoyed throughout his life. However, one of his proudest accomplishments was his role as the town Santa Claus, where he brought joy and hope to local children, celebrating the festive spirit of Christmas all year long. His legacy of kindness will continue to inspire those who knew him.
Ronald is survived by his loving children, Scott Denmark, Shannon Denmark, and Dayna (Jessie Johns) Denmark, as well as his grandson Logan Denmark, five stepchildren, Vicki (Edward) Kangas of Jacksonville, N.C., John Ulch of Alpena, Becky (Shawn) West of Poca, W.V., Jodie Bishop of Alpena, and Kathy Ulch of Alpena, and many step grandchildren that brought joy to his life. He is also survived by his siblings Joanne King, Terry Denmark, Wanda Clark, and Marianne Garvin, each of whom holds fond memories of a brother whose compassion knew no bounds. Ron is also survived by the mother of his children, Donna Denmark, who remained a close friend through the years.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marilyn, and his sister, Yvonne Miller. The void left by Ronald’s passing is significant, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who experienced the warmth and love he bestowed upon their lives.
